HR & Employment

Avoided a HR Disaster

Due to losing a long-term contract one of our employer clients called to say that they had chosen 3 staff to let go from their jobs and could we prepare redundancy notices for them.

When we asked a few preliminary questions, it became clear that our client hadn’t carried out a proper business and staff analysis to ensure that there could be no later objections to the proposed redundancies. We provided employment law advice to make sure our client knew what was required. We assisted our client through the process. Eventually coming up with a fact-based analysis which showed that 3 employment positions (not individuals) were redundant and helped to negotiate and document the exit of 3 staff on agreed terms with full releases. Job done.
